Commercial
Commercial electrical permit packet
A pizza shop and a big-box TI do not share a calc or a price. Commercial packets use Article 220 Parts III and IV from the occupancy type and floor area, then price the set from that same square footage.
Occupancy drives the demand
Office, retail, restaurant, warehouse, manufacturing, and school each pull a different volt-ampere density. Kitchen equipment, rooftop units, refrigeration, and elevators are added as nameplate loads on top of the general lighting and receptacle demand.
Pricing follows the floor area on the set: $149 under 2,500 sq ft, $299 to 9,999, $449 to 24,999, $598 at 25,000 and up.
What ships in the packet
Every job produces six 11×17 sheets: cover, general electrical notes, single line diagram, panel schedules, electrical load calculation, and utility service data. The title block carries your company, license, and revision history.
A residential set is $89. Multifamily and commercial are priced from unit count and floor area. Corrections and re-downloads stay free on that job.
